TWiSTED: SOLO a multi-media, dance-theatre tale of transformation

Created and performed by Carter, with music by Jacob Cino and Lori Clarke, visuals by jamie griffiths and dramaturgy by Lee Su-Feh of battery opera, TWiSTED is storytelling as performance art. Inspired by Carter’s own ‘twisted’ journey of living with a deformed spine while pursuing a career in dance, this solo combines monologue, movement, music and visuals to expose the complex layers of reflection and revelation around this story of transformation. It’s a medical memoir with a twist. It’s an artistic autobiographical surgery. It’s sad. It’s funny. It’s TWiSTED.
