STRETCH FOR SCOLiOSIS 2010
Through a series of simple exercises inspired by dance, yoga, pilates and massage techniques, these classes will teach you how to connect to your spine to find relief from pain, tightness, and compression. Classes are open to anyone of all ages and abilities, and are especially helpful for people with scoliosis.
No dance or stretch experience required. Wear comfortable clothing.
Martha Carter is a dance artist and teacher who has spent years exploring dance and somatic techniques to relieve discomfort from her own severe ‘corrected’ scoliosis. Over time, she has developed a gentle stretch technique to share her knowledge by giving each person tools that they can use at home.
